This project challenges us to reinvent the medium of lyric video. The restriction is not to use After Effects or other motion graphic programs to create animation. They can only be used to edit or combine files. Also, select the type that fits your song with an engaging visual style.

I choose “Cemetery” by Coin. This song features a catchy rhythm with slightly melancholic lyrics. It tells the story of a man consumed by work, neglecting his family and personal life, ultimately ending up alone. The contrast between the rhythm and lyrics can be a great visual to play with. The video should be nostalgic, lonely with college style. Using playful jump cuts and still animation showing sad elements.
